The troopship which brought most of the men of the Mars Task Force to India.  Richard Bates and the 475th traveled across the Atlantic Ocean to India, with a stop in Capetown, S. Africa.  George Haupin and the 612th, along with the 124th Cavalry traveled across the Pacific Ocean to India with a stop in Melbourne, Australia (although the men were not allowed to go ashore).  The remaining troops of the 613th arrived in India via the Pacific on this ship's third voyage.  All agree that the voyage was not a comfortable experience, except for the officers, who enjoyed special accommodations.
